The Abbey of Our Lady of Montserrat was filled with joy and reverence as the monks celebrated the feast of St. Benedict last July 11, 2024.
The celebration brought together monks, Benedictine nuns, and sisters, reflecting the unity and shared devotion within the Benedictine family.
The day began with a solemn Mass in the abbey church, presided over by Fr. Rembert Tumbali, OSB, Prior of the Abbey.
During Solemn Vespers, the monks, nuns, and sisters gathered together chanting the psalms and hymns that have been part of their monastic tradition.
Following the Vespers, they gathered for a communal meal, fostering fellowship and camaraderie. The refectory resonated with joy and laughter as each of Benedictine community showcased their song and dance number.
